British Riots End, Obama Say Congratulations to Cameron

Washington - London and other British cities have now calmed down following the riots that hit last week. Barack Obama President of the United States congratulated the Prime Minister (PM) England David cameron on how to cope with the unrest.

"President Obama praised the PM on the determination that he, his government and the British police in handling the riots show recently and felt that the situation now hopes PM will continue to take place quietly," said White House spokesman as quoted by AFP news agency on Monday (15 / 8 / 2011).

British police have so far arrested more than 2140 people-related riots in London and other British cities. Of that number, about 1,000 people have begun to trial.

Scotland Yard Acting Commissioner, Tim Godwin estimated total of about three thousand people will be dragged to court over the riots.

AM Cameron has also promised to crack down on the rioters.

According to Cameron, is titil behind the riots in British history since the police, politicians and the public must decide what to do with the criminals behind a wave of riots that rocked the UK last week.

"Insanity looting, riots and arson will certainly change many things," said Cameron reminiscent of a policy of "zero tolerance" or "zero tolerance" against rioters.

Cameron has hired former New York police chief, Bill Bratton, to advise the British government on how to deal with gang culture. Bratton is a key figure in implementing "zero tolerance" in New York and reduce the crime rate in U.S. states that after the riots in Los Angeles in 1992.
